Veterinary Nurses

Louisa Williams RVN

Louisa Williams RVN
Practice Manager & Registered Veterinary Nurse

I joined Ewell Veterinary Centre in January 2017. I have previously worked in other first opinion practices and a referral hospital which also specialised in emergency and critical care. I have a cat called Sweep who I hand reared since he was two days old. Outside of work I enjoy snowboarding, kayaking and walking.

Louisa is currently on maternity leave after having her first baby, little Leo!

Kate Sakela

Kate Sakela BSc (Hons) RVN
Registered Veterinary Nurse

I joined Ewell Veterinary Centre in 2017 after graduating with a first class honours degree in Veterinary Nursing in 2014. I spent 2 years working in a busy practice in Liverpool and in 2016 I also became a Pet Health Counsellor after further study. This has given me an opportunity to actively promote nursing clinics in nutrition, weight management, senior health and mobility which I particularly enjoy. I have been made the ‘Cat Advocate’ for EVC and am currently working on making our practice a Cat Friendly Practice approved by the ISFM.

Outside work, I enjoy my weekly horse rides on Wimbledon Common as well as travelling around the country. I am now studying for a Master’s degree.

Louise Furtado
Receptionist, Veterinary Nursing Assistant

Lou joined Ewell Veterinary Centre in 2011 to complement both our reception and our nursing team. She has a great deal of experience of both roles from working in other veterinary practices for many years. Lou helps manage your insurance claim forms and the Ewell Pet Health Plan. At home, she has a collection of cats acquired over the years!

Rachel Goodsell

Rachel Goodsell
Student Veterinary Nurse

Rachel came to EVC on a school-arranged work experience in 2015 and was so impressive she was immediately offered an evening position to help the nurses. On leaving school in 2017, her detemination to follow her dreams led her to join the team full-time and is now enrolled at MYF, on her way to becoming a Registered Veterinary Nurse. She loves all kinds of animals and they all love her!
